Two Hours with Tech Support

In November, Comcast absorbed our service provider, Adelphia. Since that time, our service has taken a major hit.
  • For several days at a time, the DVR claims to record, but saves nothing.
  • When you pause live TV, black screen. The only way to get rid of said screen is to restart cable box.
  • With Adephia, we paid for 8MB, and averaged 10MB for our broadband. With Comcast, we pay for 8MB and receive 3MB.

After two hours with Tech support, who of course insisted that I bypass my router, we made zero progress. My cable modem config was "bad" but now that it's "good", my crap service is the same.
